Hi I'm Kalindi. I started my work life as an engineer, applying my love of science in the lab and in industry. After going back to school for an MBA, I spent over two decades consulting to organizations large and small, public, and private.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with people from around the world. And I've come to realize that while each of us is unique, we are all similar in fundamental ways. We all wonder why we're here and where we are going— whether as a young person starting out in life or as a seasoned expert in some field. And we are continually looking for answers to the big questions, searching for meaning and a sense of fulfilment.
In my own life, I play many roles, as a consultant, a wife, a mother, a friend and as one person among billions on this planet. I started wondering what my place is in all this. How could I better understand myself? How could I be of value to others around me? How could I feel less anxious and calmer through the busyness and inevitable ups and downs of life? How could I happen to the world, instead of feeling like it was happening to me?
To grapple with these questions, I returned to my first love, science. And while I haven't found all the answers, I have started to see a way of being and becoming that feels meaningful. I have found a set of tools that help me manage my thoughts and feelings more skilfully and deliberately. Throughout it all, talking to others and writing my thoughts down, have been the greatest source of enlightenment.
This course is the culmination of all that thinking, writing and doing. It combines deeply researched ideas and scientific evidence from multiple disciplines to address the questions of who we are and how we are, as well as the basis for more fulfilling relationships, meaning and contentment in life.
In addition to years of research, it also draws on over a decade of mindfulness practice and experience as a personal and corporate coach and trainer. I hope that you find it as useful and thought-provoking as I did in creating it.
